The Benefits of Yoga for Children
Dr. Andrew Weil, a leader in integrative medicine, has noted that yoga helps children develop flexibility, balance, and strength. Beyond the physical advantages, yoga also fosters relaxation, stress reduction, and emotional balance. Since children can often adapt to yoga with ease, they can quickly develop the same skill level as adults. Yoga provides a wonderful, non-aerobic form of exercise that supports kids' overall well-being, making it an excellent complement to their daily activities.
"Children who take up yoga can easily become as skillful as adults. Yoga provides an excellent muscle toner, promotes flexibility, and benefits the nervous system by leading to deep relaxation and stress reduction. It's a wonderful non-aerobic conditioner for people of all ages, including kids."
